the movie's great, based on the book by nick hornby (who's books rock), its about this guy (hugh grant) who dates single mothers cos they're so needy. he ends up with this kid who basically
turns his life upside down. sounds cliche, but dont roll your eyes yet.

the movie, unlike other film-book thingymabobos, is pretty close to the novel.
the characters obviously do develop more in the book, but the movie isnt that far off.

so take your pick.
it is worth the time, the kid kills a duck with a baguette (?) and its packed with comedy but while addressing serious issues of unawareness and the like.
they both have crazy intense blue eyes.
your mum is pretty crazy intense too. :)
